[:XTX:] is a clan from the UK and was founded in june 2006 by Bonnie and TheEvil. The clan was started as a fun clan but since mid 2007 we played a lot more leagues and cups and had our first LAN at i31 in Newbury. Since then have been to 3 LANs and are already planning the next one.
Here is a short summary of our clan history:
November 2006
After entering Clancombat and EnemyDown and playing lots of matches in the past 4 months, XTX started to fall apart in November 2006. Most of the members left and after a break of 3 weeks we are starting again with a small team of old members, a new website design and a new server.
January 2007
The new team has been together for 3 months now, we played lots of matches in ED and lost most of them
March 2007
Here we are in March, and we have made significant progress in the past few months. Recently we have been winning a lot more matches in ED, and I feel the team is coming together as a whole. 2 months later we are in the Top200 in ED after lots of matches. Some of us are going to the i31-LAN in august. This will be the first clan meeting in our history
July 2007
After one year of clan life we are still playing in ED, are ranked in the 190s and are looking forward to play a lot more matches and climb up to rank 150. We have recruited 2 more members and have completed our roster. Next month is i31 time :D , our first clan meeting so expect some funny pictures from us on the website
August 2007
We had a break for 2 weeks for i31, our first LAN and now we are back. We had a lot of fun and a lot of pictures can be found in the Media Gallery. After a great event we decided to go there again next year for i32 or i33. Apart from that we have recruited another player for our 8 man ED team which is back in action aswell, currently ranked 162, getting closer to the 150
October 2007
After reaching 101st place in ED Open ladder we had some team problems again with Kue going to uni, Pinkmonk having no internet and Sundayghost being away for 3 weeks. We lost some matches we should not have lost and dropped to 170th rank. We have recruited 3 more members for our first team and are starting to climg the ED Open ladder again. We have started a 2nd team now for our less active members with Stalkers as the team leader. We'll see how far this team can get
The 2nd team has entered ED Open after 1 week and changed their name to [xтx] -Omega- now.
January 2008
After our second team has left XTX in November 2007 to start their own clan, Volks leaving us in December and us being inactive over christmas we are now back with a strong team. We have completed our roster with Elghanz as new player and xTatic, who left XTX a few months back. We have entered EDCSSL 9 and some cups to play other maps than boring dust2.
March 2008
Buzzard joined us in February after half of our team was inactive again. During the last two months we made our way back to the first half of the ED Open Ladder. After being ranked 204th we reached our best rank so far being placed 93rd. We finished 4th in the EDCSSL Div 8 and got invited to play in the Pro-CSS eXtreme League and the Kokaine Gaming League. I hope we can continue our good work from the past months and get some good results.
May 2008
April and May have been interesting and exciting months. We played our 400th match in ED and have finally won our first league, EDCSSL X Div 10. We finished unbeaten with 7 wins, 21 points and a round difference of +132. At the end of May we are ranked 82nd in ED. I34 has sold out very quick and we have a team of 6 members attending.
July 2008
June 2008 was a good month for us with two 2nd places in the Kokaine Gaming Cup and the Flair Gaming League. The new website based on Joomla 1.5 was released on the 1st July with a complete new layout. I34 is getting closer and we'll see what will happen there
August 2008
After Pinkmonk and Stalkers going inactive and Elghanz leaving us to play more WoW we had to recruit another player and found Ross aka Angrymob. At the end of i34 we reached a new best place in ED on rank 68 and we had a good start into EDCSSL 11 with 2 close wins against FP and 3MC.
January 2009
It's been a while since the last update here but a lot happened to the clan in the last few months. We've gone through a lot of roster changes with most of our players leaving in the first four weeks after i34. The recruitment wasn't going to well, we had a lot of trialists but all of them didn't make it into the clan or left again after a week.
But then Matto joined us in october and Muffinman made a comeback in december after a long break due to uni. Xitrox finally found a new home here in december and we found another player in Rawkus who joined us this month. Around christmas 2008 it was very quiet with only a few matches being played.
This month Purehate and Matto started to play in the ED 2v2 ladder again, moving up 40 places in four weeks. We are still trying to sort out our teamworkwith all the new players. I think it will take us a while but we will be back to old strenght soon.
March 2009
The last few weeks have been surprising in some ways. We had a nice losing streak on ED resulting on us sitting on the 200th place in the Open Ladder. We haven't been there for a long time but it's always good to go back where u came from
EDCSSL Season 13 started and with one win and one draw out of the first two matches we had a very good start.
GuardianSaint made a comeback too after trying to start his own clan. Matt^ and Pandaman tried a comeback too but it only lasted for two weeks. Both are now back in Hydra.
We are already starting to make plans for i37 in August, which I think will be a great LAN for XTX with most of the members attending.
April / May 2009
April and May were two interesting months. In April Team SC@ folded and their more active members joined us. Forgotten are the days when we were struggling to field a 5 man team for a match as we can now have 15 members online on good days. May was the month to win Division 10 in EDCSSL. This has been our first cup win since EDCSSL Season 10 in May 2008.
June 2009
XTX is now 3 years old, we have seen a lot of players come and go in this time but we are still here without any major changes. The next few months will be very interesting with i37 coming up.
August 2009
i37 is over and it has been our best LAN so far with 11 members attending as participants and DreadPirate joining us for one day as a spectator. We split into two teams for the tournament, the first team made it into round 3 in the lower bracket and the second team only missed the knockout stage by one place in their group. After all its been a great success and the next LAN is getting planned already.
KGL season 6 finished this month too with us being first in Division 5 and winning our 2nd price in the clan history.
This month one of our long standing members, Purehate, has left XTX to find a new home. Good luck in your new team, you will be missed.
After i34, half of our members decided to leave and start their own team, called Simply.css. We were left with only 4 active members and started recruiting again.
September 2009
The last chance to say NO has come for Muffinman this month. The noob he is he missed it and said YES. Now he's married, moved to the other end of the world, got a new job and is still playing CSS whenever he can.
November 2009
This month we finally finished recruiting after weeks of testing new players, some stayed for 2 or 3 weeks, some were just not what we were looking for. In the last three months we went up to rank 32 in the ED Open Ladder, noone knows how we got there. We haven't played half of the time so it's a big surprise to see us near teams like MOD, Nicey or Rasta.
KGL Season 7 finished with us on 3rd place. It could have been better but with all our roster changes I'm glad that we never had to default a game and played all our matches.
April 2010 The last few months have not been easy. We had a lot of activity problems, hence the lack of updates here. EDCSSL 15 was a massive failure for us but we are still trying to win a few games Lately we found two good players who fit perfectly into our team, welcome Dutchfighter and Luxsey. We already started making plans for i40, a few of us have their place booked.
